District Judge, Richard Berman, made the ruling on Tuesday; a month ago he ruled that the existing law prohibiting direct sales to NY consumers from out-of-state wineries was unconstitutional. The original case had been brought by Swedenburg Estate Vineyards of Virginia.

A US District Court Judge has ruled that New York State must allow wineries from outside the state to ship directly to consumers, in the latest legal challenge to state controls on wine distribution.
