Spanish brewer Estrella Damm has acquired a minority stake in its US beer distributor, United States Beverage.
Estrella Damm said today (29 November) that the deal will increase the reach of its namesake beer in the US by expanding United States Beverage’s (USB) resources. It did not disclose a fee for the stake and it did not give a specific figure for the minority stake acquired.
Connecticut-based USB also distributes Tiger beer and Murphy’s Stout in the US, as well as a range of other premium beers. The distributor said that it will increase its sales force, following the Estrella Damm investment.
