The Coca-Cola Company has continued the recent spate of new product launches to emanate from the world’s leading producers, by introducing a root beer float-flavoured beverage onto markets in the Southern US.
The new drink is called “Barq’s Floatz,” and will be available in supermarkets, convenience stores, and restaurants in Mississippi and Louisiana from next week.
The drink is being positioned as a premium beverage, packaged as it is in a retro glass bottled and available at a premium price, US$1.19 a bottled and US3.49 for a four-pack
Coke said it may consider selling it in other markets.
