The Russian brewer, Sun Interbrew, part of the Interbrew group, has acquired a further 41% in the Ukrainian beer company, Yantar, increasing its participation in the brewer to 97.5%.
Sun Interbrew acquired the stake from Invesco Asset Management. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
Beer production at Yantar reached 1.4m hectolitres in 2002. Its primary brands are Yantar and Getman.
