The Ukrainian breweries owned by Baltic Beverages Holding (BBH), the joint venture between S&N and Carlsberg, increased sales by 26.6% in 2002 to 280m litres, according to reports in Ukraine.

The Slavutich brewery saw sales rise by 14% to 193.7m litres, while the Lvov brewery increased sales by 68% in 2002 to 66.1m litres. BBH said the results were ahead of sales targets for 2002. The company increased its market share in Ukraine from 17% to 18%, making it the third largest brewing group after Obolon and Sun-Interbrew.
