The UK wine retailer, Majestic Wine, has posted a pre-tax profit for the year to the end of March of £7.97m, up 35.5% from £5.88m the year before. Profit before tax and amortisation was up by 37.9% from £6.05m to £8.34m.

Turnover at Majestic increased from £104.60m to £125.68m. The company also said that sales in the first 10 weeks of the current financial year were showing 8.1% like-for-like growth.
