UK-based consumer goods group, GlaxoSmithKline, is set to launch a new design for its established energy drink brand, Lucozade.
The new look for Lucozade Energy and Lucozade Sport featuring an updated version of the Lucozade brand logo is to be launched in January 2003.
“The new launch has been designed to reflect the fabulous heritage and expertise of the Lucozade brand, whilst ensuring that we continue to keep it contemporary and relevant to consumers,” said Fiona Vigar, marketing category director, Lucozade.
The core brand’s new look builds on the brand’s heritage, the company says, retaining the core properties of red, black and yellow while modernising other elements and adding a new “bubbles” feature to the design.
Meanwhile, two key design properties have been introduced to Lucozade Sport. The “Winner” icon represents the brand’s passion for sports performance, whilst a “Your Sport, Our Science” strapline conveys the brand’s 30-year commitment to sports nutrition research.
