Refresh UK is to spend £700,000 advertising its German beer brand Löwenbräu Original over the next 12 months. The first set of ads will run in quality Daily and Sunday newspapers from May through to July.


The ads will continue the “only pure thoughts” campaign, emphasising the ‘import’ message of the brand through a series of 1920’s style ‘German beer poster’ advertisements.


Chris Knight, marketing manager for Lowenbrau said: “This new series of adverts highlights the purity and authenticity of this wonderful beer in a charming and memorable way”.


Stuart Hawthorn, marketing director of Refresh added: “A new generation of premium lager drinkers are looking for authentic import credentials and Lowenbrau is now perfectly positioned to take advantage of this consumer trend.”
