The chairman of the world’s biggest spirits group Diageo has had his contract extended by two years.
Diageo said Lord Blyth of Rowington had had his contract extended to 2007 to stop “inaccurate speculation” about other board members succeeding him in 2005.
According to reports, Diageo had consulted major shareholders who were happy about retaining Lord Blyth.
