Contaminated vodka has killed one woman and left another seriously ill in Scotland. The illicit alcohol being blamed for the death was reported to contain high levels of methanol which causes blindness, liver failure and in the worse cases can be lethal.
Police warned consumers about the danger of consuming alcohol from unknown sources. The vodka in question was reported to have been produced in Belgium and labelled as “Original Vodka Russia Export Quality”.
