UK: Bass exits brewing as Interbrew waits for UK judgement

Bass, the UK leisure group, has finally exited from a 223-year-old involvement in the brewing industry, after the European Commission referred Interbrew's bid for Bass' brewing arm back to UK authorities for approval. The completion of the deal follows the ruling because the Interbrew offer was only dependent on clearance from the European rather than UK authorities.
