Diageo Global Travel and Middle East (GTME) has launched a 21 Year Old Johnnie Walker Scotch whisky exclusively at Indira Gandhi International airport’s newly opened Terminal 3.
Johnnie Walker XR 21YO will be sold at the terminal’s Delhi Duty Free shop exclusively throughout November priced at US$105. The new whisky is inspired by handwritten notes made by Sir Alexander Walker, the grandson of founder, Johnnie Walker.
Diageo’s head of travel retail India, Shivam Misra, said: “With the support of Delhi Duty Free, we have achieved great success across our brands and we are confident that this new milestone in our partnership, will pave the way for greater growth for both partners.”
A Diageo India spokesperson said that there are no current plans for a wider launch of the whisky.
