The Ministry of Industry will spend the money on nine projects to support the traditional alcoholic beverage industry, which it believes has good potential for growth. The first is an 8m baht project to research and develop production technology. One million baht will be spent on developing industrial standards for fermented beverage manufacturing. The ministry will establish a laboratory for 40m baht to carry out quality control tests and will spend 22m baht on a project to build a model production plant.
