Reports in the Bangkok Post, quoting Merrill Lynch Phatra Securities, have suggested that there will be an initial public offering for Beer Thai during 2003.
The report said Beer Thai and the Thai convenience store operator, CP Seven Eleven, were both planning IPOs for the coming year. Merrill Lynch Phatra Securities was said to be the financial advisor for both companies.
The two IPOs would be the largest share offerings by Thai private companies in recent years.
