Lakemedelsverket, the Swedish medical products agency, has reportedly refused to grant a licence for the sale of “Freaky Ice”, an ice cream brand which contains 4.8% alcohol.

Manufactured in the Netherlands, Freaky Ice comes in an ice lolly form and is available in four flavours and a non-alcoholic version.

Lakemedelsverket, which according to reports has now rejected two applications for the brand, is thought to be concerned about the possibility of minors being attracted to the product.
