Employees are continuing to strike today (24 June) at one of Invivo’s wine production sites in southern France over its plans to shut the facility.
A statement from local union federation FGTA-FO yesterday said employees had then entered their fourth day of strikes, having downed their tools since last Wednesday (17 June).

Some 46 workers from the group’s Uccoar production plant in Carcassone are taking part, the statement said.
Invivo confirmed to Just Drinks today (24 June) the action is ongoing. The group could not say how long the work stoppages may go on for.
The production plant is due to close in the second half of this year, Invivo said.
It still retains a production facility near Béziers, which sits under the agricultural group’s wine subsidiary Vinadeis, formerly known as Cordier by Invivo.
The FGTA-FO’s statement yesterday said the strikes began after a series of demands presented by the Force Ouvrière delegation were rejected by management. These include extending “redeployment leave” to up to 24 months, depending on age and if an employee has recognition of disabled worker status.
According to the union, the demands would cost between €8 and €9m ($9-$10m), which it said “could be fully financed” by the sale of the Uccoar plant.
Just Drinks has asked the union and Invivo to confirm whether talks between the two parties are planned.
In May, Invivo changed the name of its Cordier by Invivo subsidiary to Vinadeis. “This transition reflects a desire to refocus the company’s identity around its Occitan roots and its flagship brands”, a statement on Invivo’s website said.
Vinadeis’ flagship brands are Mythique and Bonne Nouvelle.
According to the group’s website, its bulk wine business Sudvin is based in Béziers.
In the year to 30 June 2025, Vinadeis generated €191m in revenue and had 490 employees.
In March, international wine group AdVini struck a deal to buy a clutch of assets from, as it was then called, Cordier by Invivo.
The companies, who announced in December they were in talks to merge “certain” activities, said at the time that they had struck a “binding” agreement.
Through the transaction, AdVini received “a portion” of Cordier by Invivo’s “wine-growing assets” that represented export sales of around €50m.
The deal also saw AdVini take on the Café de Paris sparkling wine brand and its production site, as well as the Cordier brand.
