Oregon-based Stoller Wine Group has acquired the Elouan brand from California’s Copper Cane Wines & Provisions.
The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

In a statement, Stoller Wine Group said the addition marks a “significant milestone in solidifying” its position as a “powerhouse Oregon producer at 300,000 cases”.
The company added the acquisition “substantially” broadens its distribution in the US, covering both the on-premise and off-premise channels.
Gary Mortensen, the president of Stoller Wine Group, said: “Elouan is the number-three-selling Pinot Noir from Oregon across the country and we are excited about how it will enhance our overall portfolio by leveraging their existing network to get our world-class wines into the hands of consumers.
“We are excited to welcome this wonderful brand and its loyal fans into our ecosystem and, rightfully, make it an Oregon icon by producing it here in the state.”

By GlobalDataBill Stoller, an Oregon native, founded Stoller Wine Group in 1993. Its existing portfolio includes Stoller Family Estate, Chehalem Winery, Chemistry, Stoller Swing, and History.
Copper Cane, founded by Joseph Wagner in 2014, launched the Elouan brand a year later.
At the time, Wagner said: “With Elouan we are emulating the successful sourcing philosophy we introduced with Meiomi: blending the top Pinot Noir regions together for a richer, more complex style than what you could achieve by sourcing from one small area.”
Earlier this month, it emerged major beverage-alcohol distributor Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) is to quit California in September, sparking wine and spirits groups to seek alternative distributors in a key US state.
