Russian Standard Vodka is switching distribution in Spain to Maxxium Espana as it prepares for a bigger sales push in the country.
Maxxium, which is controlled in Spain by the distribution alliance between Beam Global Spirits & Wine and The Edrington Group, will handle Russian Standard vodkas from 1 February.
Spain is one of the largest European markets for premium vodka, with seven-fold growth in the premium segment over the last five years, according to Russian Standard.
Russian Standard announced in October 2008 that it would launch in Spain with independent distributor Zadibe Vinos y Licores, the distribution arm of Diego Zamora Vinos Y Licores.
