The co-founder of Arizona Iced Tea is lining up the debut of an iced tea brand in the US.

Saint James Tea comprises four SKUs, with three flavours – Pineapple & Mango, Passionfruit & Peach and Blueberry & Raspberry – sitting alongside Original Green Tea. All four come packaged in 50cl Tetra Paks and are organic.

The brand, which will initially launch in Florida, is owned by John Ferolito, the man behind Arizona, along with Jon Buscemi, Brenden Cohen and Roy Warren Jr.

The name of the brand refers to Father James Haggerty, “an inspirational figure in Ferolito’s early career”, according to the company.

Six years ago, Ferolito was involved in a legal tussle with Domenick Vultaggio over the ownership of Arizona Beverages. A court valued the company at US$2bn, settling a decade-long dispute that arose after Vultaggio manoeuvred to buy out Ferolito.
