The Russian brewer, Yarpivo, which is 60%-owned by the Carlsberg/S&N joint venture, Baltic Beverage Holding (BBH), has reported a 19.1% rise in net profit according to Russian Accounting Standards (RAS) for 2002 to RR1.315 billion (US$42.6m).
Total sales revenues rose by 56% to RR4.838 billion (US$156.6m). The company’s deputy general director, Olga Belyusova, told the annual general meeting that Yarpivo shareholders voted to pay a RR530 per share dividend for 2002, against RR400 per share in 2001.
The remaining 40% of Yarpivo is owned by its employees.
