The US drinks distributor Peacock Corporation has sealed its acquisition of the Polish vodka maker Polmos Seidlce, buying a 65% stake in the company for PLN15.3m (US$4m).
The Polish Treasury announced it would sell to Peacock in August last year.
Peacock yesterday announced it had increased the share capital of Polmos Siedlce by PLN4m at a Thursday shareholder meeting. The funds are to go into capital goods’ investments and product and brand marketing.
Seidlce produces the premium Chopin vodka and a Peacock is known to be keen to expand the brand internationally as well as increase sales domestically.
Seidlce’s domestic brands include Universum and Alpejska.
