Pabst Brewing Co has added a new SKU to its Lone Star craft beer brand.
Lone Star High Desert Days is brewed with white wheat and Pilsen malt before being blended with hibiscus and agave nectar. The new flavour is available immediately in selected retailers across Texas, including HEB and Total Wine & More.
According to the company, the flavour was designed to showcase ingredients produced in the state.
“With High Desert Days, our goal is to capture the essence of Far West Texas and celebrate the beauty of the Texas landscape through design and locally-minded flavours,” said Lone Star’s brand manager, Daniel Crawford.
The release is the latest in the brand’s ‘Culture’ series that also features Rio Jade, a Mexican-style lager, and Das Bier Y’all, a German-style kölsch.
In April, US trade body The Brewers Association named Pabst – which also owns the Ballantine IPA and National Bohemian brands – the country’s fifth-largest brewer by volumes in 2020.
