Loch Lomond Group has released a limited-edition iteration of its namesake single malt Scotch whisky in partnership with golfer Lee Westwood.
Loch Lomond Lee Westwood Single Cask 1st Edition has been aged for 25 years in first refill American oak casks, representing Westwood’s 25 European Tour golf tournament wins. The expression, which is available from the brand’s website, is the first in partnership with the English golfer, who will compete at this year’s The Open tournament this week.
Financial details and lengths of the arrangement were not disclosed.
In 2018, the company signed a five-year partnership with The Royal & Ancient (R&A) golf authority for Loch Lomond to become the official ‘spirit of The Open’. In February 2020, the company expanded its presence in the sport by becoming an official partner of the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) Tour in the UK.
