KOREA: Soft drinks sales continue to climb
Industry experts are predicting that rivalry in the South Korean soft drinks market is likely to intensify this year as sales of soft drinks are expected to rise to 1.1 trillion won ($821m), a growth of 6% from 1 trillion won ($747m) last year. According to Asia Pulse, Coca-Cola Korea has predicted sales of 400 billion won ($298m from $265m in 2000) and Pepsi expects to grab a 15% market share with 210 billion won ($156m) in sales this year.
