With abv of 45%, the new offerings are presented in 700ml formats, and carry RRPs from £60 to £90 for the on- and off-trade and specialist retail.

Produced at a distillery in San Luis del Río, Oaxaca, the spirits are described as “ethically-sourced” by the Belfast-based group.

Don Baltazar Cruz Gómez, Del Suelo’s mezcalero or master mezcal maker, added: “The subtle and intricate flavours of each agave, the soul of our mezcal, across each expression are uniquely enhanced by distinctive terroir influences imparted by the soil, climate, and other conditions unique to where they grew.

“The result is an exceptional mezcal that is both complex and distinctive, representing a tribute to the land.”

Del Suelo is positioned at 28- to 45-year-old urban consumers and is expected to particularly resonate with the creative community, bartenders, and spirits enthusiasts, according to the statement.

The range is bottled in sustainable “wild glass” and features artwork by Oaxaca City illustrator Walter García Hernández.

Kirker Greer Spirits, whose portfolio includes Ukiyo Tokyo dry gin and Born Irish whiskey, is one of the three divisions DKG operates

Others include Spiritly, its B2B and DTC e-commerce platform; and the Drinksology creative agency.

In November 2024, DKG secured investment from Whiterock Capital to support growth across its three business units.

Under the agreement, Whiterock Capital took a minority stake in the company; financial terms were not disclosed.

Following the investment, DKG chief commercial and strategy officer Ryan McFarland had said: “While we’re not detailing specific funding allocations across our separate business divisions, I can share that our internal investment will align to a portfolio plan and geographic growth plan for Kirker Greer Spirits.”

The company markets its spirits brands in more than 30 markets. Seven, including Ireland, the UK, Australia and Germany, are “our core focus”, McFarland said at the time.
