Decaffeinated energy drinks in India are to carry a government health warning, according to local reports.
The drinks will also be forced to drop ‘energy’ from their names and be called ‘caffeinated beverages’, the
Mail Today reported. India’s food regulator, the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI), made the decision earlier this month after two years of deliberation, the paper said.
The draft regulation has not yet been published.
