IBG’s assets already include the Ransom Wine & Spirits business in Williamette Valley it acquired four years ago.

In a statement, IBG said Firesteed Cellars, established in 1992, has gained “critical acclaim” for its wines, pointing to the “numerous 90+ point reviews” for its Pinot Noir, Riesling and Pinot Gris.

Firesteed Cellars is “particularly renowned” for its Pinot Noir, which includes limited production wines from Willamette Valley sub-appellations such as Dundee Hills and Yamhill-Carlton, IBG added.

Oren Lewin, the CEO of IBG, said: “For over 30 years, Firesteed has been respected for the quality of their wines and tradition of land stewardship, a legacy we are proud to continue.

“The brand’s Willamette Valley roots and commitment to sustainable winemaking perfectly align with our mission.”

IBG, founded in 2015, has an array of brands including Duck Pond Cellars, Rascal Wines and Lifevine Wines. Its product portfolio features wines, vermouth, grappa, whiskey and gin.

The company snapped up the Rascal brand in 2015 when it acquired Oregon wine business Stone Wolf Vineyards.

Lewin added: “As a company, we believe in the potential of Oregon wines. Firesteed is truly a jewel. We are excited to build on its history and reputation and guide the brand to even greater heights.”
