Corralejo Tequila, one of only a few Tequila producers based outside of Mexico’s Jalisco province, has released an extra añejo expression.
Corralejo Tequila Extra Añejo will go on sale in the US this month, importer Infinium Spirits said today. The expression will be a permanent addition to the Corralejo portfolio.

Hacienda Corralejo was one of the first estates in Mexico to produce Tequila as a commercial venture in 1755 and remains among a few distilleries granted the right to make Tequila outside of Jalisco.
According to Infinium marketing VP Marcel Durand, interest in high-quality Tequila continues to grow in the US.
“The opportunity within the luxury Tequila category is extraordinary,” Durand said. “It is outperforming all other spirits with aged expressions like reposado, añejo and extra añejo more in demand than ever.”
Last week, a company co-founded by US actor Eva Longoria launched the Casa Del Sol Tequila range.
