The German drinks group, Brau und Brunnen, has been granted regulatory approval for the acquisition of two regional soft drinks companies. Brau und Brunnen announced yesterday that the German Federal Cartel Office had approved the company’s purchase of Glashaeger Brunnen GmbH and Margon Brunnen GmbH.

Brau und Brunnen announced the purchase of the two companies in mid-January. Both are located in eastern Germany and their acquisition forms part of Brau und Brunnen’s strategy to build up its presence in that part of the country.
