The French Champagne company, Vranken Pommery, formerly Vranken Monopole, has reported a net attributable profit for 2002 of €6.5m (US$7.3m), representing a 4.5% increase from 2001.
The company posted turnover for 2002 of €235m (US$263.5m), up 70.1% from 2001. The company’s 2002 figures were boosted in the second half by its acquisition of the Champagne brand, Pommery, which it bought from LVMH in April 2002.
