The Charles de Cazenove Champagne brand is set to be sold to GH Martel & Co, which itself owns around 125 hectares of champagne vineyards.
The move was outlined in a financial statement.
Around 3m bottles of the Charles de Cazanove brand are sold in French supermarkets annually.
If the deal goes through the Charles de Cazanove will take the name of Champagne Lombard & Medot and generate an estimated turnover in 2004 of €12m, largely from the Medot brand.
