Fratelli Branca Distillerie will assume the distribution of Nicaraguan rum brand Flor de Caña in Italy.
In a statement announcing the partnership, Flor de Caña described the move as a “strategic step in strengthening” its presence in “one of Europe’s most important spirits markets”.

The deal, which took effect at the start of the year, includes the full Flor de Caña range.
Italy-based importer Velier had been the distributor for Flor de Caña in the country.
Established in 1890, Flor de Caña said the parties’ “alignment of values and heritage” will support its “ambition to further strengthen its strategic distribution, elevate brand positioning and build meaningful, long-lasting partnerships across the Italian market”.
