The Danish soft drinks bottler Coca-Cola Tapperierne has turned around a pre-tax loss last year by posting a pre-tax profit of DK27m (US$4.2m). The company recorded a pre-tax loss of DK63m, a year ago.
Tapperierne is responsible for the production and distribution of Coca-Cola products in Denmark.
It saw its full year turnover grow by 2% to DK1.4 billion. The company now controls 49% of the country’s soft drink market.
The company said that earnings and turnover were negatively affected by the parallel imports of soft drinks and by the cross-border trade with soft drinks in Denmark.
At the beginning of 2003 Danish brewer Carlsberg took over Coca-Cola Tapperierne.
