Volumes in the first half rose by 9.1% to 49,953 hls. The company is aiming to produce between 107,000 hls and 110,000 hls of beer in 2002 which would represent a 14% to 16% volume increase for the full year.
CZECH REPUBLIC: Profits up 73% at Rodinny Pivovar Bernard
The Czech brewer, Rodinny Pivovar Bernard, reported first half profits of CKR4.9m, up some 73% from the corresponding period last year. Sales at the company, which is 50%-owned by the Belgian brewing group, Duval Moortgat, rose by 7.9% to CKR51.6m.
