Chilean winery Viña Undurraga has announced new investment of US$10m to be spread over the next two years.
The winery will spend the new funds on expanding its storage capacity from its current level of 20m litres in order to keep pace with its growing production levels. Undurraga will also extend irrigation systems at the 1,000 hectares of vineyards that it operates in the valleys of Maipo and Colchagua.
Viña Undurraga currently sells 1.5m cases per year or 13.5m litres. Some 60% of the company’s production goes to the export market.
