Pisco producer Control Pisquero has announced a dramatic 31% year-on-year rise in sales by volume of Chile’s national spirit in the first half of 2003.
Control Pisquero, which operates the Mistral, Control, Tres Erres,
Campanario and La Serena brands, sold 830,000 cases of pisco in the period to June, company general manager Elio Elorza said.
“Our customer loyalty levels are currently very impressive,” Elorza said, adding that the Control has also “optimised the company’s commercial side, improving coverage and everything to do with logistics and distribution.”
The general manager said Control’s share of the Chilean pisco market had risen from 40% in December 2002 to 41.6% in June of this year.
