The Chilean soft drinks producer, Coca-Cola Embonor, has rejected a takeover bid from the Peruvian group, Corporacion JR Lindley, for its Peruvian subsidiary, Embotelladora Latinoamericana SA(ELSA).

However, having rejected the initial offer, Embonor said that negotiations which could possibly lead to a sale are continuing.
