Chile’s leading export winery Concha y Toro reported a 9.5% increase in export sales between January and November 2002.
Concha y Toro registered sales of US$99.6m, up on the US$91m recorded in the same period of 2001.
Volume sales of bottled wine rose 1.7%, while sales of cases rose 12.1%.
Concha y Toro, which belongs to the Guilisasti family, led the rankings of Chilean wine exporters for the January to November period.
Total Chilean exports of bottled wine over that period rose 1.7% to $481.2 million, while total case sales rose 5% to US$20.8m.
