The Canadian wine group, Vincor International Inc., reported net income for the fourth quarter of C$5.8m (US$4.2m), up from C$3.3m in the corresponding quarter last year. Sales for the quarter rose from C$91.1m to C$101.3m.
Vincor, which is Canada’s largest wine producer with brands such as Inniskillin and Jackson-Triggs in its portfolio, reported a 15% rise in net sales for the year to C$434.6m.
The company’s CEO, Donald Triggs, said the acquisition of the Australian wine company, Goundrey Wines, and New Zealand’s Kim Crawford Wines had boosted sales and profits during the fourth quarter.
