The Canadian brewer, Sleeman Breweries, has reached an agreement with Diageo which will see the Ontario-based brewer take over draught and packaged distribution for the Guinness, Kilkenny, Harp and Smithwicks beer brands in British Columbia and Quebec.

Sleeman already distributes these products in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. Distribution arrangements for the brands in other provinces will be unchanged. The deal also explicitly excluded the Guinness Extra Stout packaged beer brand.
