Vincor International Inc, Canada’s largest winery, yesterday posted a healthy quarterly rise in profits on the back of record sales. The company announced that profits had increased by 26% for the second quarter, from C$11.2m (US$8.56m) to C$14.1m compared to the same period last year.


Sales for the Toronto-based company hit a record of C$120.7m, an increase of 11.6% on last year.


Vincor’s products include Jackson-Triggs and Inniskillin wines. Recent acquisitions include New Zealand’s Kim Crawford Wines and Goundrey Wines in Australia.
