Earnings before interest, taxes, amortisation, and unusual items (EBITA) rose by 24.3% for the second quarter to C$3.6m and by 17.4% for the first half to C$7.6m. The company attributed higher margins to better sales of its premium and ultrapremium brands, Peller Estates, Hillebrand Estates and Trius. Net earnings for the quarter were up by 21.3% at C$1m, while the net figure for the half-year came in at C$2.6m.
