Ambev, Latin America’s largest brewer, continues to lose share on its domestic market, according to figures reported in the press today.

Ambev’s share of the Brazilian market fell to 62.6% in November 2003 compared to 63.8% in October, according to data from the market research firm AC Nielsen.

AmBev has been seeing its share erode steadily, in particular to rival Schincariol, which in November captured 15.2%.

According to reports earlier this year, Brazil’s largest brewer saw its share of its domestic market fall from 70% to 66% between June and September.

Molson Inc, with the brands Kaiser and Bavaria, had 12.4% market share in November.
