Red Bull, the energy drinks group, has claimed victory in a trademark battle with a Swedish drinks firm SM Group.
Red Bull took the Swedish firm to court in a bid to stop it selling a product called Red Bat.
A Stockholm Commercial Court judge yesterday (2 February) ordered SM Group to stop supplying its drink in the country after ruling the design and colour of its logo – a bat – strongly resembled Red Bull’s namesake energy drink.
A spokesperson for Red Bull told just-drinks today: “For the last decade, Red Bull has been focused on defending its famous mark from third party infringements.
