Casella Estate, the owners of the leading Australian brand in the US, Yellow Tail, launches the brand on the domestic Australian market today.
The release comes as Yellow Tail became the Tbest selling red wine in the US, with its Shiraz, outselling Blackstone Merlot from California, accordin to AC Nielsen figures.
The Australian launch will see the brand available nationwide and retailing around A$9.95. The range features a Shiraz, Chardonnay and Merlot.
General ManagerManaging director John Casella said: “We have a great product that we are selling overseas, so we see no reason why we shouldn’t be selling it on the domestic market as well.”
Yellow tail sales have reached 5.9 million cases to date, with a further expectation of an additional 5 million cases this calendar year.
