Exports in unadjusted terms reached 42.7m litres in June, up 5% from May. In value terms, June exports were 3.7% up from May at A$220.1m. Domestic wine sales in Australia fell by 2.9% in June to 32.3m litres from May.
AUSTRALIA: Wine exports up year-on-year
According to figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the country exported some 417.3m litres of wine in the 12 months to the end of June, representing a volume increase of 23.3% from the previous 12 months. In value terms, wine exports for the 12 months to the end of June rose by 19.9% to A$2.1 billion.
