The Australian soft drinks producer, Coca-Cola Amatil, has announced that it has further extended the deadline on its takeover bid for the bottled water group, Neverfail Springwater, to July 15.

The previous deadline, which has now been extended a number of times, was due to expire on July 8.

Amatil added that it has now gained acceptances for 84.9% of the shares in Neverfail but requires 90% before it can proceed with compulsory acquisition.
