Villa Mercedes, the Argentinean wine producer has been acquired by the fellow Argentine business the Montes group, La Nacion reported.
Villa Mercedes, owner of the Alzamore and Ampacama brands, has a production capacity of 1.5m litres. It currently exports part of its output to the US and Saudi Arabia.
The Montes group concerned is not the Montes winery of Chile.
