Switzerland’s consumer industry registered an 18.5% drop in IT hiring activity in July 2022 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 9.87% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.
Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 5.9% share in July 2022, recording a decrease of 0.38% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Switzerland’s consumer industry’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s consumer industry in July 2022.
1) Computer and Information Analysts recorded a share of 36.11% in July 2022, registering a 225% growth over the previous month.
2) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers claimed a 33.33% share, a decrease of 64.71% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 13.89%, registering a 37.5% decline from June 2022.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 13.89%, down 16.67% over the previous month.
Top five consumer companies in Switzerland’s IT recruitment activity in July 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 24.32% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s consumer industry during July 2022 over June 2022.
The Swatch Group posted 10 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a drop of 54.55% over the previous month, followed by Fielmann with 6 jobs and a flat growth. V-ZUG with 5 IT jobs and VF with 4 jobs, recorded a 400% growth and a 300% growth, respectively, while On recorded a decline of 76.92% with 3 job postings during July 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 52.78%, down by 55.81% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 36.11% share, registered an increase of 160% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Mid Level job ads with an 11.11% share, flat growth over June 2022.
