The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 6.67% in July 2022 when compared with June 2022.

Out of the consumer industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.09% share in July 2022, recording a decrease of 0.38% over the last three-month average share.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 60% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Canada’s consumer industry during July 2022 over June 2022.

LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton posted 12 IT jobs in July 2022 and registered a rise of 71.43% over the previous month, followed by The Body Shop International with 10 jobs and a 25% growth. Goodfood with 5 IT jobs and Nestle with 3 jobs, recorded a 66.67% growth and a 50% growth, respectively, while Cooke Aquaculture recorded a flat growth with 2 job postings during July 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.82%, down by 6.25% from June 2022. Entry Level positions with a 31.37% share, registered an increase of 33.33% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 9.8% share, down 28.57% over June 2022.
